If you’re a fan of London Dry Gins, as we are, we think you’ll love Chuckanut Bay Distillery Gin – the world’s first and only “Bellingham Dry” Gin.
When Matt and Kelly formed Chuckanut Bay Distillery, they knew that gin was one thing they had to get exactly right. Coming from a long line of gin lovers, and as gin lovers themselves, they wanted to make a spirit that would be truly memorable.
Most distilleries (even "craft" ones) make their gin from industrially sourced grain neutral spirits (GNS) sourced from a factory. In contrast, Chuckanut Bay Distillery Gin is made from beginning to end right here on site – from grain mash to fermentation in traditional wooden tanks to distillation and botanical infusion.
The grain bill consists of white winter wheat grown locally right here in Whatcom County. Select botanicals, such as juniper, cassia, and orris root provide the gin’s characteristic bouquet. The result is what we refer to as “Bellingham Dry Style” gin – elegant, disciplined in its restraint, and highly drinkable. Subdued excitement, indeed!
Simply the perfect martini gin, and makes a lovely gin and tonic as well.
"Pungent anise and black olive lead the nose. The palate echoes that olive brine note, moving into mildly sweet almond and cardamom. A lick of salinity gives a mouthwatering finish. Distilled from 100% Washington wheat." Tasting notes from Wine Enthusiast, 90 points.

Chuckanut Bay Distillery received a gold medal at the New York International Spirits Competition, a silver medal at the Bartender Spirit Awards, a 90-point score from Wine Enthusiast, was named as one of the 50 Best Gins in the World, and took the gold medal at the Seattle International Spirits Awards.
