Rye whiskey is known and loved for its distinct character which comes directly from the grain itself - spicy, peppery, yet smooth with a dry finish. Made completely from grains sourced within 25 miles of the distillery, Chuckanut High Rye exemplifies these characteristics in spades.
Our rye is grown just up the road from the distillery, and is ground, mashed, and fermented in traditional handmade Douglas Fir wooden washbacks on site. After distillation, we age it to perfection in new charred American oak casks and bottle it at a generous 48% alcohol.
