Krampus comes from the Alps, so his gin had to taste like high country: resinous, bracing and bone dry.
Juniper First.
Juniper is the backbone, and everything else is there to back it up. Orange peel and coriander add a bright citrus lift, grains of paradise bring peppery warmth, angelica root gives it an earthy middle, and cardamom and orris root round it off with a soft floral edge.
Wheat, Not Corn.
The base is a wheat spirit made from Pacific Northwest grain. Most gins start with corn spirit; wheat costs more, but it is cleaner and softer, so the botanicals come through without any added sweetness.
96 Proof, on Purpose.
The extra strength carries more aroma, keeps the gin dry, and gives it the structure to stay front and center once vermouth, Campari or tonic join in.
In the Glass
Fresh juniper and resinous pine up front, with orange zest, coriander and a little cardamom behind. Dry and structured on the palate: juniper leads, citrus and coriander follow, grains of paradise bring pepper, and angelica gives it an earthy core. The finish is long, clean and warm, ending on juniper, soft orris florals and dry spice.

How to Drink It
