Krampus Alpine Gin is built on a wheat spirit made from Pacific Northwest grain—a deliberate choice over the corn-based neutral spirit commonly used as the foundation for gin. Wheat costs more, but its clean, soft character gives us exactly what we want: a foundation that lets the juniper and other botanicals take center stage.

And in this gin, juniper gets the starring role.

At Chuckanut Bay Distillery, we build Krampus Alpine Gin around a classic, assertive juniper profile, then layer in orange peel, cassia, orris root and select botanicals for depth and structure. Orange peel adds a bright citrus lift, while cassia contributes a touch of warming spice.

The result isn't intended to be delicate or sweet. This is a dry, aromatic gin with a distinctly alpine character and enough botanical intensity to remind you what gin is supposed to taste like.

We bottle it at 96 proof (48% ABV), giving Krampus Alpine Gin the body and structure to stand up beautifully in cocktails without disappearing behind the other ingredients.

How to Drink It

Put Krampus Alpine Gin anywhere a proper gin belongs. Its dry, juniper-forward character makes it especially well suited to a classic Martini, while the higher proof gives a Negroni extra presence. For something simpler, pour it over plenty of ice with a good tonic and a twist of citrus.

It also has enough character to drink neat or over a single large cube.
